In road transport, time is everything. But too often, drivers lose hours at warehouse gates because the information in the system doesn’t match the truck that actually arrives.
In road transport, time is critical – delays mean higher costs, lower margins, and frustrated drivers. Too often, you lose hours waiting for unloading simply because the information in the system doesn’t match reality. And when you’re carrying more than one order, the warehouse is often not prepared for it.
To address these issues, we’ve introduced two new features in our time slot management system:
- time-slot forwarding
- order consolidation
Together, they make transport execution smoother, faster, and far more predictable — for you, your clients, and your drivers.
Time-slot forwarding: the carrier enters the actual truck data
In many logistics chains, the company that receives the delivery order is not the one that actually performs the transport. Forwarders subcontract shipments to carriers, and those may pass them on further.
However, the warehouse is often unaware of this, which leads to confusion at the gate and significant delays.
Time-slot forwarding solves this problem.
From now on, the booking on the Trans.eu platform can be passed directly to the carrier who actually performs the transport. They provide the real operational data about the delivery:
- truck license plate numbers
- driver details
- driver contact phone number
As a result, security and warehouse operations teams have all the necessary information before the truck even arrives on site.
What does it mean for you and your drivers?
- Faster gate entry – your truck and driver details are already in the system.
- No more endless phone calls – the forwarder doesn’t need to call you repeatedly for vehicle details, and you don’t have to call them when something changes.
- Full control over your resources – you manage your own transport data directly.
If it turns out late in the evening that you need to replace the truck, you can simply update the data in the system. By morning, everything is already set for the driver’s arrival.
No stress at the gate, no delays.
Order consolidation: unload everything at once
To reduce costs, you often combine smaller orders into a single transport. However, the warehouse has no prior visibility into this – it may expect a single shipment, while the driver arrives with five. The result? Chaos at the dock and longer unloading times.
That’s why we introduced structured order consolidation directly in the system. As a result, the warehouse can see all orders assigned to a single booking in advance.
What does it mean for you and your drivers?
- Faster unloading – the warehouse knows exactly what you’re bringing and is prepared for it.
- One unloading instead of several – all orders can be handled at once.
Unloading becomes fast and predictable, and you save time—both yours and your team’s.
Logistics is complex, but your deliveries don’t have to be
Modern supply chains involve multiple companies and subcontractors. Our system ensures that everyone works with the same, up-to-date data—from the shipper, through the forwarder, to the final carrier.
With structured time-slot forwarding and the ability to combine multiple orders into a single delivery, you spend less time standing still and more time on the road.
